Scope
This Privacy Policy applies to the AwayHome iOS app and this website. AwayHome is offered by the developer identified on its App Store product page.
AwayHome helps you organise care for residential properties you are responsible for but do not live in every day. It is not an account-based or cloud collaboration service.
Information stored on your device
The app may store home names and locations you type, departure and return plans, checklists, notes, issue records, home-system details, document references, supply records, app preferences and selected photos. These records are kept in the app’s local storage on your device.
AwayHome does not operate a cloud service that receives or synchronises the contents of your home records in version 1.0. If you use iCloud Backup or another device backup feature, Apple may include app data in that backup under your Apple settings and Apple’s terms.
Camera, photos and files
Camera and photo-library access are optional. AwayHome asks for access only after you choose to take or attach a photo. File access is opened only after you choose to add a document.
You can continue using text-based home records without granting photo access. Permissions can be changed at any time in iOS Settings.
Purchases and subscription status
If you buy Care Plus, Apple processes the purchase through the App Store. AwayHome uses RevenueCat to retrieve available subscription products, confirm whether the Care Plus entitlement is active and restore purchases.
Apple and RevenueCat may process purchase history, an app-specific identifier, device information and diagnostic information needed to provide and secure purchase services. AwayHome does not receive your full payment-card number.
Exporting and deleting local records
When you choose Export Backup, iOS presents its share sheet and you decide where the exported text is sent. The recipient or service you select handles that copy under its own privacy practices.
You can remove records using the controls available in the app. Deleting AwayHome removes its local app container from the device, subject to copies that may remain in device backups or locations where you previously exported content.
Retention and security
Local home records remain on your device until you remove them or delete the app. Purchase records are retained by Apple and RevenueCat according to their legal, security and service requirements.
AwayHome relies on iOS app sandboxing and device security. You are responsible for controlling access to your device and for deciding where any exported backup is stored.
Children
AwayHome is a general household organisation tool and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly use the app to collect children’s home records on a developer-operated server.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when AwayHome’s features, service providers or legal obligations change. The effective date at the top of this page identifies the current version.
